He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian L. McPhillips Sr. and Eleanor Elizabeth Dixon McPhillips of New Orleans, Louisiana.; and his brother David Dixon McPhillips. He is survived by: his wife J. Leslie McPhillips; his children, Rachel McPhillips Plucker (Julius), Grace McPhillips Lunsford (Corbett Lunsford) and David McPhillips (Melinda McPhillips); his grandchildren, Eva Laurel Plucker, Julius Plucker VI (Jude), James Sage Plucker, Nanette Lillabelle Lunsford, Emmanuelle Lenwood Lunsford, Lucian Grant Lunsford and Julia Taylor McPhillips; and his siblings, Sandra McPhillips Pitre of Santa Fe, NM, Elizabeth McPhillips Williams of Chesapeake, VA and Frank Dixon McPhillips (Louise) of Birmingham, AL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
