He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Gordon Root, Sr. and Claire Hamlett Root; his wife Kaye Burnham Root; and his daughter Stacy Root Seaton (Rick) of Jefferson City. He is survived by: his sisters, Ruth Root Benton of Brandon, MS and Betty Root of Brandon, MS; his daughters, Joni Root Adams (Forrest) of Springdale and Lori Root Griffin (Reg) of Atlanta, Georgia.; and his grandchildren, Sarah Jackson (Roy), Rachel Timmerman (Randal), Ryan Collins, Hollis Griffin, Abby Coon (Patrick), Emily Foster (Jacob) and Ashleigh Collins. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
