He was predeceased by: his father Vincent W. Mercer, Jr.; and his uncle Randle Mercer. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Mercer; and his siblings, Teresa M. Godfrey (Ray) and Michael Mercer (Jennifer) of Elizabeth City. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
