He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Nicholson and Alma Nicholson (Snyder); his spouse Sylvia A. Cooper; and his siblings, Dorothy Johnston and Robert H. Nicholson.

He is survived by: his siblings, Lois Beck of Warsaw and Norman G. Nicholson of Michigan City.
