He was predeceased by: his parents, George Alsobrook Love and Constance Irene Love Martin; his stepfather Robert Martin; and his brother Jeff Martin. He is survived by: his sons, Jonathan Love (Susan), Daniel Love (Shelby) and Michael Love (Lisa); his grandchildren, Travis, Morgan, Matthew, Jackie, LilyKate, Eleanor, Sam, Seth and Isabelle; his siblings, Fred Love (Bill), Rosanne Love, Michele Love Kenney (Rich) and Robert Martin Jr.; and his niece Larissa Walker (Jacob).
