It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gus Nicholas Kalanzis of Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on December 13, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Gus Nicholas departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Gus Nicholas. Though Gus Nicholas may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Angela Kalanzis and Nicholas Kalanzis; and his cousin Connie Sloan Lee. He is survived by: his brother Peter Kalanzis (Nina); his niece Melinda; and his cousins, George Sloan (Edie), Ron Lee, Stephanie Richter (Eric) and Lydia Fox (Jerry).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel (404 S Moore Rd, East Ridge, TN 37412). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (722 Glenwood Dr, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
