He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Kendrick Maddox and Frank Maddox, Sr.; and his siblings, Frank C. Maddox (Flora), Robert Joe Maddox (Gwendolyn), Ethel Chatman (Julian), Jacqueline Benson (Raleigh) and Alvina McFadden.

He is survived by: his sister Drucilla Maddox Tuggle; his daughters, Crissandra Miller (James) and Lesia Maddox; and his wife Ruby Maddox. He is also survived by his family and friends.
