He was predeceased by: his wife Carol A. Van Pelt; and his parents, Thurman Pelt and Grace Van Pelt (Gear). He is survived by: his sons, Randy E. Van Pelt (Diane) of North Smithfield, Gregory G. Van Pelt of Glocester, Jeffrey E. Van Pelt of North Providence and Wayne Hall of Galveston, TX.; his grandchildren, Amanda Van Pelt, Brian Van Pelt, Gabrielle Hall, Sebastian Hall, Chelsea DiGiacomo, Amanda Verdoia and Ashley Cook; his great grandchildren, Noah, Logan of Macey, JD, Jackson, Dominic, Luca, Jordan, Tyler and Addison; and his brothers, John Van Pelt of South Carolina and Jerry Van Pelt of Georgia.
