He was predeceased by: his parents, Corbett Chambers and Sallie Chambers; his sisters, Betty Chambers and Jean Cochran; and his sons, Greg Chambers and Ron Chambers.
He is survived by: his wife Madelyn Chambers of Atlanta, Georgia; his son Jeff Chambers (Shari) of Acworth, Georgia; his daughters-in-law, Nancy Chambers of Newnan and Melissa Carlson (Brian) of Auburn, Ala; his grandchildren, Sarah Chambers of New York, Kathryn Bohannon (Nathan) of Suwannee, Kellen Chambers of Atlanta, Paxson Chambers of Tallahassee and Caraline Carlson of Auburn, Ala; and his sisters, Barbara Coogler of Baton Rouge, Gail Roberts of Saraland, Ala and Peggy Adams (Ben) of Mobile, Ala.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to Bert's Big Adventure, a non-profit that provides children with terminal and chronic illnesses and their families a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disney World.
