He is survived by: his children, Gregory Dorsey and Jill Dorsey Stephens; his grandchildren, Austin, Kyle, Olivia Dorsey, Brady, Brett and Bennett Stephens; his brother James Dorsey, Jr. (Mary Sue); and his former wife Margie Oliver Dorsey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Atlanta Humane Society.
