She was predeceased by: her parents, Catherine Hill Terrell and Thomas Willingham Tift; her grandparents, Henry Harding Tift and Bessie Willingham Tift; and her husband James T. Porter, Sr..
She is survived by: her great-uncles and great-aunts, Nelson Tift, Joseph Merriweather Terrell and Governor; and her children, Catherine T. Porter (James Fuller) of Washington, DC, Pattie Porter Firestone (Charles Firestone) of Santa Barbara, CA, James T. Porter, Jr. (Celeste Burdell Porter) of Atlanta, Thomas T. Porter (Beth Neel Porter) of Cartersville, GA and Russell T. Porter (Rebecca Houston) of Bethesda, MD. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
