She is survived by: her wife Sara Nance Thompson; her nephew Max Shirley (Veronica Lee) of Atlanta; and her brothers-in-law, Lawrence Thompson (Judy) of Clinton and Bill Thompson (Shannon) of Troy, Alabama..
