He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burns and Lillis Gill Burns; his grandson Bryan Burns (Jill); and his siblings, Dorothy Burns Nordin (Art), William Burns (Ona Lee), Joe Burns (Ann) and Lois Burns Foster (Claude).
He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Randy Burns (Melissa) and Lori Burns Allen (Eddie); his grandchildren, Mollie Allen Surratt (Jason), Cory Allen (Becca), Brooks Burns (Emily), Heather Burns, Hunter Burns, Harrison Burns and Halle Burns; and his siblings, Ken Burns (Eleanor) and Charlotte Burns Lively (Ron).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church (2850 Old Alabama Rd, Johns Creek, GA 30022). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
