She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley Jackson Sr. and Velma Carol Jackson; her grandson Michael Couch; her siblings, Norma Jean (Joe Louis), John Wesley, Jr. (Betty), Richard (Uncle Bunky) and Lawrence; her aunts, Birdy and Tiny (Martha Malbery); her uncle Leonard Cottingham; her granddaughter Bernice Evelyn Couch; and her nephew Johnny Cottingham.
She is survived by: her son Charles Ricky Woods; her daughter-in-law Patricia; her daughters, Cheryl Denise Woods and Carolyn Velma Couch; her grandchildren, Brianna Woods, Christopher Couch (Renée), Charles Royell Woods and Kay Couch; her great grandchildren, Amir Frazier, Milah Couch, Amina Felder, Charlie Couch and Amal Felder; and her siblings, Shirley Cottingham, Leonard Jackson, Charles Allen Jackson (Sharon) and Kenneth Jackson (Diane). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.
