He was predeceased by: his parents, Akbar Compani-Tabrizi and Fatemeh Compani-Tabrizi. He is survived by: his wife Soheyla Compani; his children, Leyla Compani (Nathan Branscome) and Mehrdad Compani-Tabrizi (Christina); his granddaughter Nika; and his siblings, Behrooz, Behtaz and Behnaz (Kaveh Maleknia). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, a grand-stepson, Godson.
