It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alonzo Phillips of Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alonzo Phillips to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Wideman and Thomas Phillips; and his daughter Delinda Faith Mack. He is survived by: his siblings, George Wideman, Otis Wideman, Thomas Phillips Jr. and Azzie Lee Jones; his grandchildren, Candace Chekwa (Luigi), Ariel Jones Joseph (Clarens), Jonathan Stephen Smith, Philip Douglas Jones and Imani Gabrielle Mack; his great grandchildren, Carrie Lynn Joseph and Nailah Amarachi Chekwa; his wife Bettie Robinson Phillips; his children, Al Micah Phillips (Angela), Dr. Emilie Smith Reid (Phillip Reid) and Carla Phillips Jones (Douglas); and his sisters, Sarah Neal and Katie Jones. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
