He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Ethan Strickland and Anne Lee Goodrum Strickland; and his siblings, Vonnie Callahan, Euree Moon, Charles Strickland and Heyward Strickland.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Toney Strickland; his children, Jennifer Lancaster (Christopher) and Barry Strickland; and his granddaughters, Julia and Sara Kate Lancaster.

Memorial contributions may be made to White Fields, Inc. earmarked for Vicky and Alan Skelton that are missionaries to Honduras.
