Ruby Simmons Wood Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby Simmons Wood of Athens, Georgia, who passed away on March 24, 2023 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Simmons and Lexie Bond Simmons; her husband Edgar H. "Blue" Wood; and her siblings, Cecile Minish, Gladys Seagraves, Frazier, Willard, Francis and Elmer Simmons.
She is survived by: her daughter Kay Wood Tolbert (Bill); her grandson Jay Hodges (Thérèse); her great grandchildren, Samuel, AbneyMarie and Marley Jane Hodges; and her sister Fannie Wood. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
