As Richard departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Richard leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Bennett and Adeline Bennett; his brother Buddy (Pat); his sisters-in-law, Pat M. Bennett and Kay S. Bennett; and his nieces, Merry Katherine Prince and Dee Dee W. Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Susan B. Bennett of Blackshear, GA.; and his siblings, Don Bennett (Libby), Dianne Bahnsen (Lynn), Lyn Bennett and Angie Prince (Tommy).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Lord and Stephens. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
