He is survived by: his wife Frankie Suttles Hicks; his children, David Hicks, Michael Hicks (Shannon Hicks) and Denakae Jenkins; his grandchildren, Erica, Cruz (Lance Cruz), Randall "Ran Ran" Hicks (Allison Hicks), Ann and Tiffany "Tiff Tiff" Sirmans (Jared Sirmans); and his great grandchildren, Olivia Cruz, Michael G. Hicks and Sebastian Sirmans.
A memorial service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605).
