With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norris N. Mullis (Athens, Georgia), born in Fort Valley, Georgia, who passed away on September 12, 2024 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Norris N. Mullis to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Anderson Mullis and DollyAnna Mullis (Cannon); his wife Tommie Guess Mullis; his brothers, Marion Prentice Mullis and John Edward Mullis; and his son-in-law Jon Darrell Poole.
He is survived by: his stepmother Maude Mullis; and his children, Mitch Mullis (Jean), Mitzi Mullis Poole, Marisa Mullis Reynolds (Jody) and Mark Mullis (Melissa). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, October 6th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Milledge Avenue Baptist Church (1690 S Milledge Ave, Athens, GA 30605).
