He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon "Pete" McDuffie Gill and Doris Watson Gill. He is survived by: his wife Linda Diane Smith Gill; his children, Kelley Gill Padgitt (Kevin L. Padgitt) and Larry "Duffie" McDuffie Gill, Jr. (Heather Havis Libby); and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Padgitt Lacher (Zachary W. Lacher), Leland McDuffie Padgitt, Libby McDuffie Gill and Levi McDuffie Gill.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Stephens Anglican Catholic Church (800 Timothy Rd, Athens, GA 30606).
