She is survived by: her children, Dorinda Dowis of Smiths Station, AL., Mays Dowis of Atlanta and Michael Dowis (Cindy) of Bogart, GA.; her grandchildren, Cathleen Dowis Gay (Grant) of Woodstock, GA., Thomas Dowis (Claire) of Florence, AL. and Nathan Dowis of Bogart; and her sister Sue Craft Freeman of Gainesville, GA.. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel (7200 Hodgson Memorial Dr, Savannah, GA 31406).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
