He was predeceased by: his parents, Ephraim Anderson Puckett and Grace Compton Puckett; his sons, John Anderson Puckett and Robert Milton "Junior" Puckett; and his siblings, Carlton Puckett, Carroll Puckett and Linda Puckett.
He is survived by: his close friend Gail Scogin; his children, Mark Puckett (Carly) of Jefferson, William Puckett (Louann) of Jefferson and Rebecca Edwards of Athens; his stepdaughters, Teresa Janson (Kevin) and Donna Davis; and his siblings, Billy Puckett Jefferson (Lynn), Janice Maggie Puckett of Athens, Ann Lord (Johnny) of Nicholson and Rosemary Harrison of Decatur. He is also survived by Eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, four step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
