He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto B. Triplett Jr. and Lettie Mae Mallory Triplett; and his sisters, Donna Mae Gurley Lynch and Sandra Gurley. He is survived by: his brother William Gurley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in Athens in John's memory.
