He was predeceased by: his parents, James Millard McGill, Sr. and Nell Stone McGill; his brothers, Donald McGill and Edwin "Ed" McGill; his wife Betty McGill; and his daughter Cynthia Garrison.
He is survived by: his siblings, Linelle Carlton of Thomasville, GA, Martha Jo Ricks of Hideaway, TX and John McGill of Dadeville, AL; his stepdaughter Beverly Niklasson of Calhoun; and his grandchildren, Christopher Kindon of Braselton, GA, Katherine Fisher of Woodstock, GA and TJ Niklasson of Buckeye, AZ. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as several great grandchildren.
