Though Ingrid may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ingrid touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Hoyt Clark Kirk; her parents, Elise Butenschon Klopfer (Hoyt Clark Kirk) and Otto Wilhelm Klopfer; and her sister Renate Wild. She is survived by: her son Dennis Kirk (Denise); her sister Erika Laborius (Wolfgang); and her grandchildren, Caroline, Katie and William. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (3655 Atlanta Hwy, Athens, GA 30606).
