With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene Thomas Stroup (Athens, Georgia), born in Cairo, Illinois, who passed away on December 7, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Newton Stroup and Gracie Mae Stroup of Canton, NC.; his son Patrick William Stroup; his grandson Matthew Stroup; and his siblings, William N. Stroup, Jr. and Marilyn Pressley.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Stroup; his son Michael Eugene Stroup (Dorsey); his grandchildren, Allison Nicole Clarke (Chip), Amy Marie Loeber (Bill) and Travis Eugene Stroup (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Harper Clarke, Emma Loeber, Kyle Loeber and Madeline Stroup; and his siblings, Danny Stroup (Georgianna), Deloris "Tincy" Rickman and Audrey Howell.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to New Life Apostolic Church, Watkinsville, GA.
