She is survived by: her children, Joseph Byrd III (Janice), Jodi Turner (Randy), Jeff Wahaus, Debra Simon (George) and Christopher Byrd (Sarah); her grandchildren, Joseph Byrd IV (Kim), Rachael Walkup (Greg), Matthew Kanfer, Dylan Turner (Amber), Jessie Noble (Brandon), Rachael Wahaus, Melody Wahaus, Michael Simon, Nicky Simon, Joey Simon, Caleb Byrd, Zoe Byrd and Wyatt Byrd; and her brother Russell Thomas (Teresa).
