It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth D. Nelson of Athens, Georgia, born in Hastings, Minnesota, who passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sister Virginia Berg; and her granddaughter Lizzy Tay. She is survived by: her parents, Donald Berg and Donna Lou Berg; her daughters, Danielle Martin, Jillian Nelson (Benjamin Stein) and Alexandra Edwards (Nathan); her siblings, Rebecca Allen, Scott Berg, Peter Berg, Faith Nelson and Katelin Kirksey (John Cole); her grandchildren, James, Sophia, Annabella, Samuel, Charlie, Johanna, Ila and Madeline May; and also Georgia.
