He was predeceased by: his mother Alice Hawkins. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Lynette Hawkins; his nieces and nephews, Marilyn Avigail Favors (Gail) of Hull, Georgia, Kathy Maddox of Augusta, Georgia, Nelva Smith of Dallas, Georgia, Michael Smith (Evelyn) of Peekskill, Craig Smith (Melissa) of Round Rock, Texas, Stanley Smith of Cleveland, Ohio and Martin Lucas Maddox (Luke) of Athens, Georgia; and his godson Anthony Shields. He is also survived by other relatives, friends.
