“I worked for him for 25 years and adored him. When I worked in Atlanta as a sales person… he liked to bring me into his office on Fridays before sales meetings. There he would delight me with jokes and stories. Sometimes way past the start of the meetings. I’d quietly sneak in and my bosses never said a word….. Once I told him about my parents getting old and Richard and I needed to go back to Birmingham. He told me no worries. He called and said a job waiting for me. And I did. He was so kind.”
