She was predeceased by: her mother Margaret Dickens Murray; her sons, Teddy Nelms and Steve Nelms; and her siblings, Nancy Lord Eades and Mike Murray.
She is survived by: her children, Phil, Lisa Nelms of Bishop and Beth Nelms of Athens; her siblings, Rita Huff and Dick Oldham; her sister-in-law Ivy Murray; her grandchildren, Shaun Nelms (Kim), Jessica Valinoto (Nick), Michelle Hayes (Trey), Andrea Gayhart, Nathan Nelms, Matt Fielding and Joey Fielding; and also, Joe DiLetto (Mary) and Dottie Suggs (Julian).
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens East (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605). A celebration of life was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lord and Stephens Chapel (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605).
