He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Bell and Sallye Ruth Bell Hendon; his former wife Barbara B. Bell; and his brother Donald Bell. He is survived by: his children, Susan F. Bell of Marietta and David C. Bell of Watkinsville; his wife DeRenn H. Bell of Athens; and his stepbrothers, Jerry Hendon of Fairhope and Tim Hendon of Cornelia. He is also survived by two grandchildren, and five step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Athens First United Methodist Church, 327 N. Lumpkin St., Athens, Georgia, 30601.
