In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Christina Lorraine leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Christina Lorraine may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her mother Loretta Lorraine Draper Smashey of Powder Springs, GA; and her brother Michael Wayne Smashey of Powder Springs, GA.. She is survived by: her husband Jeremy Colin Smith; her daughter Violet Jeanine Smith; her father Markus Wayne Smashey; her sister Melissa Jean Smashey Butzer (Jeffrey); and her nephews, Francis Ellis Butzer and Felix Ambrose Butzer.
A graveside service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Southern Cremations & Funerals (1861 Dallas Hwy, Marietta, GA 30064). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Church (780 Timothy Rd, Athens, GA 30606).
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to The Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, 185 Newton Bridge Road, Athens, GA 30607 in memory of Christina Smashey Smith.
