He is survived by: his wife Sue Lowe Shirey; his child Lee Shirey (Cindy) of Monroe, GA.; his grandchildren, Kristopher Shirey (Jessica), Tiffany Smith, Will Blizard, Joshua Shirey, Brooks Blizard, Asa Winter-Shirey, Tristan Shirey and Eli Winter-Shirey; and his great grandchildren, Trevor, Lexi, Taylan Smith, Millie and Violet Shirey.
