It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Ann Chapman (Athens, Georgia), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian Earle and Emily Nock Smith. She is survived by: her husband W. L. Chapman, Jr. (Bill); her daughters, Susan Ann Chapman of Nashville and Karen Leigh Chapman; her granddaughter Courtney Reese Durham (John); and her great grandchild Madelyn Elizabeth Durham of Newnan, Georgia..
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Athens First United Methodist Church (327 N Lumpkin St, Athens, GA 30601). A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
