She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Holmes and Susan Holmes; her sons, Dewey Byrd, Jr. and Major Byrd; and her siblings, Dooly Holmes, Albert Holmes, Richard Holmes and Eudora Byrd.
She is survived by: her children, Louise Collier of Ashburn, Georgia, Willie C. Byrd (Eloise) of Ashburn, Georgia, Evelyn Edmondson (Samuel) of Ashburn, Georgia and Richard Byrd (Katrina) of Ashburn, Georgia; her daughters-in-law, Daisy Byrd of Ashburn and Louise Byrd of Albany, Georgia; and her siblings, Preston Holmes of Ashburn and Carrie Spears of Atlanta, Georgia. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.
