He was predeceased by: his parents, A. J. Nipper, Sr. and Carrie Elizabeth Harris Nipper; his daughter Debra Taft; and his brothers, A. J. Nipper, Jr., Lewis Pollis Nipper and H. F. Nipper.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Faye Blalock Nipper of Ashburn; his sons, Franklin Douglas (Teresa) of Ashburn and Gary Douglas of Rincon; and his son-in-law Michael Taft of Ashburn. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
