He was predeceased by: his parent Barney Kenneth Pate of Ashburn; and his wife Patsy Coleman Pate. He is survived by: his children, Corey Pate and Lauren Pate; his mother Virginia Beasley Pate; his sisters, Lydia Huey (Bill) and Michelle Knight (Clay); and his nephews, Josh Knight (Brooke) of Ashburn, Jared Knight of Ashburn, Will Huey of Ashburn and Jason Huey of Ashburn.
