He is survived by: his parent Vernell Summers Saylor; his spouse Gladys Elaine Bass Saylor; his son James Melvin "Butch" Saylor Jr. of Tifton; his brother William Saylor; his sister-in-law Sandra Saylor of Tifton; his sister Betty Parrott; and his brother-in-law Doug Parrott of Fayetteville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
