He is survived by: his sister Helen Joyce Cook; his siblings-in-law, Artis Hill and Margie Hill; his wife Mabelene Rhodes; his daughters, Gwen Crews of Griffin, Jennifer Rockwell (Jermaine) of Ashburn, Georgia and Bernadette Clark of Ashburn, Georgia; his siblings, John H. Thornton (Sandra), Brenda Hill of Ashburn, Georgia and Gwenda Range of Ashburn, Georgia; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Mathis of Atlanta, George Jordan of Thomaston, Charlie Mathis of Jacksonville, Arthur Cook of Sylvester, Georgia, Arlene Mathis of Sylvester, Wanda Mathis of Griffin, Georgia and Mary Taylor of Griffin, Georgia. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
