He was predeceased by: his parents, Hansel D. Dutton and Sybil Mathis Dutton. He is survived by: his wife Sharon E. Dutton; his children, Caitlan Elizabeth Dutton and Samuel Lee Dutton, Jr. (Morgan); his siblings, Cindy Dutton Edwards, Patricia Bailey, Pamela McEntyre (Dale) and Troy Dutton (Cynthia); and his grandson Samuel Elijah Dutton.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or Oglethorpe County Band Booster Club.
