He was predeceased by: his parents, Creston Conner Blalock and Shirlie Jo Odom Blalock; his brother Kevin Blalock; and his in-laws, Herman and Jane Yarbrough.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Yarbrough Blalock; his daughter Amber Taylor (Stephen); his stepdaughters, Emily Spriggs and Erica Spriggs (Joshua Holloway); his grandchildren, Amelia Taylor, Penelope Taylor, Abigail Reardon, Trysten Holloway and Brantley Holloway; and his siblings, Ann Owens, Brenda Massey, Christy New (Tommy), Daphne Guevara (Darwin) and Bruce Blalock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the National Rifle Association.
