She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Dallas Avery and Jessie Avery; her husband Wyatt C. Thornton; her son Don Thornton; and her siblings, Sidney Avery, Herschel Avery, Evelyn Avery, Edith Adams, Eunice Adams, Tommy Avery and Marnese Pope.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Thornton (Debbie), David Thornton (Teresa) and Sherri T. Greene; her daughter-in-law Brenda Thornton; and her sisters, Vesta Salmon and Dean Beard. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks are requested at both the visitation and funeral service.
