He is survived by: his wife Gumelda Helms Cargle; his daughter Lisa; his son-in-law Alex Brown; his son Terry; his daughter-in-law Billie Cargle; his siblings, Ruth Rench and Shorty Cargle; his grandchildren, Justin, Reba Cargle, Cynthia, Brandon Butler, Tabitha Brown, Samantha, Matt Fowler, Ashley Dooley, Daniel Dooley, Michael Dooley and Sarah Fowler; and his great grandchildren, Hanna Cargle, Emma Butler, Ben Butler, Presley Cook, Brantley Smith, Tripp Butler, Harper Cargle and Weslynn Fowler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Little Sand Mountain Cemetery Fund or to the Little Sand Mountain Baptist Mission Fund.
