He was predeceased by: his parents, John Olin Newberry and Barbara Jean Newberry; and his daughter Jill Newberry Askew. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginger" Gleaton Newberry; his children, Jennifer Newberry Booker (Brent) of McKinney, TX, Alison Newberry Tomlinson (John) of Greensboro, NC and Madison Victoria Newberry of Arlington, GA.; his grandchildren, Courtney Booker Gillis (Jordan), Josh Booker, Abby Tomlinson Lewis (Jordan), Daroyl and Jenny Tomlinson Creed (Nick); his great grandchild Everett Creed; and his siblings, Hal Newberry (Vicki), Robert Newberry (Cindy), James Newberry and Jean Bostwick (Turner). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM at the Arlington Baptist Church (17382 Highland Ave S, Arlington, GA 39813). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
