Lois Gertrude Gates Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Gertrude Gates of Aragon, Georgia, born in Eastaboga, Alabama, who passed away on February 4, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Elisha Ingram and Blonnie Perina Shepard Ingram; her husband Oscar Neal Gates; her son Thomas Edward Gates; and her brothers, J. W. Ingram, Ernest Ingram and Leon Ingram.

She is survived by: her children, James, Gayle Gates of Aragon, Bill and Becky Gates of Rome; her grandchildren, Jeff Gates of Aragon, Ginger Gates of Chattanooga, TN, Jaime Gates-Armstrong (Kinney) of Rockmart, Thomas Gates, Timothy Gates and Jennifer Clark-Gates; her great grandchildren, Foster of Rockmart, Tori Gates of Aragon, Wes Foster of Aragon, Rachelle Owens of Aragon, Nathan Gates of Aragon and Kylie Clark of Cedartown; and her sister-in-law Norma Ingram.
