He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Hugh Hambrick; and his niece Laura Roland Royal. He is survived by: his wife Jane M. Schum of Arabi; his daughter Bruce Dillard; his grandchildren, Emily Dillard, Jacob Dillard, Marah Earnest, Alyssa Lawry, Hailey Lawry, Emma Jones and Khloe Jones; his nieces and nephews, Heather Dunn, Deirdre Williamson, Taylor Hambrick, Jennifer Ledger of Americus and Jerry Roland Jr. of Fort Valley; his siblings-in-law, Ruby Craft of Chattanooga, TN and Gary Cosby of Signal Mountain, TN.; and also, Gina Dillard of Enigma, GA, Chris Dillard, DeWayne Earnest of Thomasville, Elizabeth E. Lawry of Sheboygan Falls, WI., Edward Craft of Chattanooga, TN and Dianne Cosby of Signal Mountain, TN..
