He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah Frances Haney Bumbalough and Huey Vasco Bumbalough; his wife Sarah Jane South Bumbalough; his brother Huey "Junior" Vasco Bumbalough, Jr.; and his grandchildren, Shelby Deanna Dent and Scott "Bubba" Ellis Dent, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Frances Bumbalough Brown (Scott) of Arabi, Kenneth Dale Bumbalough of Losantville, Ind, Cindi Kay Boozer (Eddie) of Augusta, Sarah Marie Spradley of Cordele, Shelly Diana Bumbalough of Vienna and Rita Lynn Smith (Lamar) of Cordele; and his sisters, Dorothy Jackson of Losantville, Sandra Bookout of Muncie, Inc. and Doris Ellenburg of Muncie, Inc.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
